We had a ball Sydney.
If there is one place you can spend a day and watch what people can achieve when their hearts, minds and soles (see what I did there 😉) are working in unison, it’s at the 41km mark of a marathon. And boy oh boy did you all do amazing!!!!
I had a such great time on the sidelines, you may have seen us, at what would have been 15km, 37km for a little bit and the 41km before you started that down hill race to the fnish line. We tried to track you all, and that obviously wasn’t doable but lordy did we keep an eye out for the bright pink visors and caps, all the buffs from all the years – the big RMA on your singlets and tshirts – and I was proud to say we could see that logo coming towards us boldy, and when we did, we yelled, clapped, shook our cowbells that we ‘stole’ (asked for) from the Brooks Boat at Piramma parkrun on Saturday and all round celebrated you all from the sidelines.
Those that volunteered! THANK YOU !! I know there was a huge RMA contingent in so many spots over all the days – marshalling, water stations, at the expo, medical, at the finish line – all there to make sure all participants had the best day they could, getting to, taking part and getting home from the big dance on Sunday
