My name is Michelle Hooper, I am a mother of two vibrant little girls (3 & 5) and reside in Perth. I feel I represent the everyday mum who juggles between work, kids, training & life. I am no elite, far from it (kinda like it that way).

My running journey started after having my kids, literally the week my youngest stopped breastfeeding. I felt my body was my own again and that I could set myself some hard goals to chase.

Not long after, I joined RMA. It was a wonderful resource and also an amazing way to connect with other running mum’s around Australia.

5 months after starting, I had run my first 80km ultra marathon. To say I was hooked would be an understatement. The people, the vibe, nature… I loved it all.

Running makes me a better person, a better mum and brings me closer to that wandering spirit I have inside.

I’ve listened hard to that calling over the last year and shifted more toward self created adventures. Planning & dreaming up my own path is something that brings a lot of joy to my world. I love being able to share these adventures with others and hope to one day have my girls exploring with me too.

One thing I am passionate about is leading by example and showing that it is possible.

That despite the juggle, you can create a space for adventure & goals, whilst also being a wonderful role model to your kids.

Adventures had:
80km Margaret River Ultra
134km Cape to Cape (self-supported)
6 peaks in Stirling Ranges (Sunrise to Sunset)
Too many spectacular trails to name!
Next… Larapinta Trail 235km
