There is a new run on the block and it’s going to be a favourite on The Australian running calendar. Set in the heart of Western Sydney in the Western Sydney Parklands, Sydney’s Biggest Backyard, from the team that brings you the sell out Coastal Classic event, The Western Sydney Parklands Trail Run is here.

 

Perfect for runners of all abilities, the run will be an enticing mix of terrain ranging from bushland single track, to fire and farmland trails to ignite the senses, and will boast some of the area’s amazing views of Western Sydney and the Sydney City skyline. The race will attract the most eager social runner, and experienced trail runners alike to the 11km, 19km and 35km events, to those just starting out on their journey, and there is even something for the kids with the 4km family run or the 1.6km kids dash.

 

 

With the race set inside one of Sydney’s premier nature parks, why not bring the whole family for a fun family day out and enjoy the surroundings after your race. You can browse the Lizard Log Markets; taking in the local food, craft and fashion or kick back while the kids play on the climbing wall or flying fox, or even take a walk or ride with the family on one of the scenic cycling and walking tracks within the park.
