One should never underestimate the need for warming up when it comes to running, especially if you are going to be embarking on a speed or long distance session. One of our lovely members, Kate has created this amazing warm up routine that she uses most times before she runs. Take the time to do these movements before your run, no matter how far you are going. Using a dynamic routine rather than static stretches means increased blood flow to reach working muscles. This improves the muscles range of motion, and loosens up muscles to allow for increased muscle temperature allowing for better running efficiency. Thanks Kate for sharing your warm up with us!
